Trusts and Foundations

Donations from trusts and foundations are vital to the ongoing development and success of our work.

Many trusts choose to support our general fund, which is extremely valuable and enables us to direct our resources to the projects with greatest need and priority.

Other trusts prefer to support specific project work. We are able to work with trusts to find appropriate projects for their funding criteria.

Comic Relief

Comic Relief was launched from a refugee camp in Sudan on Christmas Day in 1985, live on the UK’s BBC One. At that time, a devastating famine was crippling Ethiopia and something had to be done.

Since 1985, Comic Relief has raised over £900 million to tackle poverty and social injustice across the UK, Africa and some of the world’s poorest countries. Comic Relief has chosen ABC Trust as a key strategic partner in Brazil, managing a range of large and small grants for a variety of life changing projects.
